EzyLoops are electromagnetic traffic detection loops that are pre-wound and encapsulated in a protective, adhesive bandage so that they may be laid within a road pavement as a single unit. The loops are laid at a depth of between 1.5 and 6 inches beneath a new asphalt base, during the construction or maintenance of the road.
In the past, in situations where a road surface has been milled and re-sheeted with asphalt, at the approach to an intersection, it was common to return later and saw cut the traffic sensor loops into the road surface, dramatically reducing the life of the pavement at the worst possible location, an intersection!
Now, with the development of the EzyLoops System, the loops can be installed into the road before the final layer of asphalt.
Ezyloops are the cost-effective solution providing same day Installation.

Ezyloops have significant advantages over traditional saw-cut inductive loops:
EASY INSTALLATION
- Ezyloops, being pre-formed and encapsulated in a protective membrane, allow for installation as a single unit between layers of the asphalt or pavement - no saw- cutting is required with its associated reduction of road integrity or hand-laying of windings is required making for simple installation
- They're suitable for use on milled as well as under new road surfaces. The loops are simply fixed to the sub surface prior to the asphalt overlay and will last the lifetime of the pavement
- Ezyloops are operational upon completion of install
- Ezyloops can be manufactured to suit any traffic lane width and loop configuration
- Ezyloops allow for real-time installation alongside other contractors avoiding unnecessary duplication of traffic control and delays in activating the traffic signals
COST ADVANTAGES
- Installation takes less than 30-minutes per loop greatly reducing labor costs
- Units are pre-formed and ready to Instal
- Simply bond the unit to the milled or underlying road surface.
- Minimal equipment is required for installation
- Real time installation eliminates the need for secondary traffic control and associated costs
- Same day connection greatly minimizes traffic delays
- Reduced health and safety risks associated with saw cutting - no noise and dust pollution or need for water with resulting slurry mitigation
